Our Story
Hey there gorgeous. I'm so happy you're here! I'm a hairstylist proudly serving the Hamilton area. As a mom of four, I understand how rare it is to get some time to yourself. I know you deserve to feel pampered, special and relaxed, which is why I designed my in-home salon experience in a way that will leave you feeling uplifted, heard, refreshed, and a little bit lighter, inside and out. Not to mention gaining that extra "pep in your step" that a great new look gives you. After 16 years as a stylist, I didn't know I could fall even more in love with my clients and craft, but here I am head over heels in love. While I'm a big fan of all the services I offer, I am a colour specialist with a wide range of specialties, including everything from vivids, to creating low-maintenance colours that are truly the gift that keeps on giving. I take pride in the fact that I advance my education several times yearly. Not only do I further hone my craft, but I also love learning about communication, relationships, and human beings in general.
What most stylists offer is a great first visit and solid maintenance care thereafter. I see my role as your stylist a bit differently. I love working together to make sure you always feel listened to, regarding both your hair and life. I truly do believe in "hair therapy." Your happiness with your mane is incredibly important to me, which is why we'll create a long-term plan, and I'll be checking in with you throughout the year so we can conquer anything that comes up together. When I'm not behind the chair and actually get some free time to myself, you can find me at a garden centre, fiddling around with my many houseplants, and reading up on random, yet interesting, things. There's a good chance that when these plants are growing well, I or even a kiddo will offer you a clipping while you're at The Nest. I love a good audiobook and all things cozy, which is why I also consider myself a "mom bun" enthusiast. I love seeing how my guests like to style their hair on their down time.
